Description of the Assignment: 


The main task of the IPPU Sector Specialist is to identify non-GHG emitting technologies or low carbon process alternatives in the IPPU sector, for consideration in the enhancement and implementation of the NDCs of the Philippines. Under the guidance of the Climate Action Programme Analyst, and key officials from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Climate Change Commission (CCC), the Specialist shall deliver the following:

The Specialist shall also develop knowledge products for relevant DENR and CCC personnel on estimating mitigation potential, on indicators for monitoring and evaluating progress and effectiveness of each low carbon alternative and on prioritization of technology options.

Estimate financial resources needed for each technology option.

The Specialist shall provide estimated costs (capital and operational) for the prioritized technology options, based on standard market prices, and develop a manual to guide DENR and CCC in estimating financial requirements for said low carbon technologies.


 

Period of assignment/services 120 working days
